Pumpkin Patch

A couple of weekends ago we decided to take Nora to the pumpkin patch to celebrate her first fall/Halloween.  Last year, Marc and I went to Old Baker Farm.  It was great - you got to ride out to this big field of pumpkins and pick the one you wanted.  There was "fair" food and a petting zoo.  It was a classic pumpkin patch.  This year... we decided to try a new pumpkin patch.  Let's just say it did not measure up to Old Baker Farm.  Lesson learned.  But we were able to get some pumpkin pictures of Nora, which - let's face it - at this age is really all that matters.  Next year, we are heading back to our first love.

Where have you taken me?  There is no fair food, no cotton pile to jump in, and these pumpkins are dirty.

Seriously.  Look at this sad excuse for a pumpkin.

Whew.  Thanks for getting me away from those pumpkins, Daddy.  I'm much too dainty to be that close to the ground.

Mama, we're getting a little too close to those pumpkins again.
Aunt Momo, why don't you just do the dirty work and find me a pumpkin?
This was the "patch" of pumpkins to choose from.  Sad.  And the stems kept breaking off the pumpkins every time Mo picked one up.
Not again. Daddy.  Not again.
Now this is more like it.
