One Month Old

Dear Nora,
Today you are one month old.  It still amazes me how fast this month has passed, yet I feel like you have always been a part of our family.  Technically, you should be only 2 weeks old.  But, like your father, you are not a patient one and decided to come on your own terms - two weeks early.  We have loved this month with you, even though there have been many sleepless nights and you haven't always loved being with us.  Just these past few days you have started to hit your stride.  You are sleeping for a little longer at night (a four-hour stretch feels like a gift!).  And you are starting to enjoy your "awake" time during the day more.  For the first few weeks, you were pretty fussy during the day, but you've seemed to turn a corner this week.  You are eating like a champ - about every 2 to 3 hours during the day.  You love to go on walks around the neighborhood and for rides in the car.  One of our favorite things to do is to take you on an early morning walk to O'Henrys Coffee Shop for breakfast.  Oh, and you make the funniest faces.  I only wish your daddy and I were quicker with the camera.

Sweet girl, we love you so much and thank God every day for blessing us with such a good and perfect gift.

P.S.  Your photo shoot was a little stressful, largely because you have very little head control at the moment.  But we both survived.  Here are a few outtakes:
