Snow Day!

On January 17, 2013, it snowed.  In many parts of the country this would just be another day.  In Birmingham, this was a major event.  Schools closed (including Nora's), businesses ended the day early, and traffic ground to a halt.  Once I finally got to N's school to pick her up and back home, there was still snow on the ground, so I grabbed Nora and the camera.  Because I was home alone at the time (and Nora had no interest in sitting up), I had to improvise. 

Nora enjoyed the snow (at least she enjoyed being near it), and it was fun to experience her first snow.  Marc eventually made it home, so (as the snow was quickly melting) we tried to get some family shots. 

Mary Beth stopped by, so we pulled her into the action. 

This was as close as Lucy was getting to the snow.

After a little fun in the snow, we headed back indoors for a fire, a few cocktails, and some soup for dinner.  The snow was gone by the end of the day, but it was fun while it lasted!
