Nora is 10 months old today. I know I say it every month, but I can't believe it. She is getting so big, and in 2 months she will be a year old. Slow down time!
Nora is a full-time crawler these days. She is always on the move. We spend most of our time trying to corral her. Dr. P doesn't think that she will walk until closer to 15 months, but she can definitely get around. She also loves to play with her toys. We gave her a shape-sorter from Ikea, and while she isn't good at actually putting the shapes in their correct holes, she loves to toss them out of the box. We load everything into the box and watch as she tosses each one out. She can't stand to have anything in her box.
| The sign is really becoming a problem. |
One of our favorite tricks is to say "yay!!!!" In response, Nora will clap her hands. She smiles, laughs, and loves to clap, clap, clap. She has also started pulling up on furniture. She first pulled up on her crib rail, so we had to quickly lower her crib. At night, she still sits up and tries to pull up on the rails, which sometimes results in some pretty hysterical acrobatics.
Speaking of night, she is still waking up once during the night. Her usual routine is to go to bed around 7:00, wake up between 3:00 and 4:00, and then get up for the day around 6:00. We tried to CIO and were doing pretty well until she got an ear infection. She is just getting over it now, so I guess we will try again! Sweet girl just does not want to sleep through the night.
She may not be sleeping well, but she is eating well. She has perfected her pincher grasp and can pick up most foods. She's still eating baby food, but we are moving more and more toward table food. She loves her snacks - puffs, yogurt melts, and especially mum mums. She also likes bread, cheese quesadillas, black beans, cheerios, biscuits, pancakes, yogurt, and cheese. We are trying green peas, which she is good at picking up but not a fan of eating. But don't worry - she's getting her veggies and fruits from the babyfood. We'll keep working on the tablefood veggies and fruits.

| We have just introduced bows. If she is anything like her mama, she will have a permanent tilt of the head from wearing so many over the next few years. |
She loves school and her teachers and friends. It is so sweet to watch her interact with them. I am so sad that she will have to leave these sweet teachers behind at the end of this month. I dread the transition.
We love you sweetness!

She is so beautiful!!! Love the crab dress!
